Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

A Call for Help...

Please!  I don't want to follow my own blog!  It was an accident, not ego!  I don't know how to get myself off of my blog!  Call me Cordelia and HELP!!!!!

Oh, and while you are at it, I still can't figure out what color to paint my lantern. Could you help with that too?

Ideas:
  • Black
  • Brown
  • Brown Wash to give it a little age

Blessings,

Heather

Coffee Talk for Today:
What are some silly things you have done that can give us a chuckle!  Come on!  Be brave!

  1. Sorry but I don't know how to fix that :) Hope you figure it out. About your lantern, do it all! If it is wood I would layer the colors and sand the edges some then give it a wash or stain rub :) But hey you can't go wrong with black I say! Good Luck!

  2. oooh! I like that! It would give it a real time-worn look! I hear ya on the black, though. My husband rolls his eyes because I do paint a lot of things that color! It's a good anchor and prim color! I like it! But I think I am going to try your idea. I am tired of it sitting there while I spin my heels figuring out what to do. I want to get it done this week... I go back to school (In-Service) next week! Yikes!

    Thanks so much, Jen!

  3. Hi Heather - so we share sunsets too??!!! Cool! but I'm still over the pond...if I were in Lancaster County I'd pop by for a swim in your fab pool!
If you go to google blog support and click on following blogs there are instructions on how to 'un-follow' a blog. They can explain it better than I can. Hope it works!

Jen's advice for your lamp sounds pretty good to me though I know what you mean about painting everything black. It's always prim perfect!
    Have fun!

  4. Awwww. Still over the pond. Okay. :( And if you were in Lanc. Co., we'd be chatting and your kids could swim and we'd have a grand old time! Someday!

The pool is a blessing! I have had class swim parties and just relaxed in it. It is a stress reliever. It's a shame I can't use it during the school year... ;) This is our first house. We loved the house for its location and the layout, but the pool... That was a dewdrop of mercy. We never thought we'd have a pool. Praise God!

Ya' know. I was going to go swimming as soon as my husband got home. They were calling for storms all day, but it turned out to be beautiful. He should be home any minute and guess what the sky looks like now? Oh, bother...

I am going to go to google support and check that out. I hope I don't offend myself by un-following myself. Oh, well. I'll get over it!

Yeah, I really like Jen's idea! It will look like it is time worn and weather-beaten. That would fit its aged copper top! Good thinkin', Jen!!!!

Well, as always, good chatting with you again, friend!

    Blessings,
    Heather

  8. Heather: One more thing...have you considered changing your comment settings so someone could reply directly to you instead of "no-reply"? It would make it easier to reply directly to you...And I haven't been able to find a contact button for you...Laura

    1. Okay, so then here is another call for help. How do I do that? The Blogger thing confuses me to no end. There are too many menus and menus for menus. I don't even know what "no-reply" means. Does that mean if I don't have it, then just you and I can chat and not necessarily on the blog? I am fine with that. I really didn't touch any of the settings when I set this up, so please help me to make it more user-friendly! :)

Oh, my! I am happy to join your giveaway! What fun! I like visiting your blog!

      Blessings to you, Laura!
