Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

Polls are open... Rock the Vote (or boat... Your choice.)!

Well, here they are... Sorry they are late.  I have been vegging with a sinus headache most of the day,  so, to get this going, it is now almost 12 am, and this is what I came up with.  I am not sure I am happy with any of them. This shelf didn't "speak" to me with ideas.  Maybe it is the size of the shelf.  I love the other shelves. I am just not feeling this one.  Ugh.

I did include some close-ups of vignettes and some pictures of items by themselves- ones I used and ones I did not. Feel free to suggest any changes.  I applied some of your ideas of simplifying to my kitchen today.  Although, I cannot show you because it is covered by groups of Fall decor now. Clean up and then mess it up.  It is kind of like showering, doing your make-up and hair before working in the garden. Things that make you go, "Hmmmmmmm..."

Here we go... (I don't know why there is a huge space.  I can't get rid of it!)

Extra!!!! Extra!!! Think all about it...

Give me your last ideas, yearning to be free...

Well! Homestretch! Tonight, I will be playing with and posting about the ideas for the final shelf. If any of you have any last minute ideas or suggestions, please do.

I was going to snap some pictures of the classroom yesterday afterschool. However, they were calling for severe storms, so I "got out of Dodge". When I got home, I was greeted with a swirling mass of clouds in front of my house.

Anyone see ToTo? Yikes. We got some wind and rain, but the best part was the rumbly thunder where each rumble seemed to last forever. The storm put some fear in me, but I was so mesmerized by its beauty! God is certainly in his creation!

Psalm 46:1-11
"My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;I address my verses to the king;my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. God is our refuge and strength,a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;he burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God.I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah"

Have a blessed day!
The Marm. Really.
