Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

Thank You...

These pictures are from my class trip to Washington, D.C. in April.  Students sensed the gravity of the sacrifice, service, and loss on our behalf.  It is an outstanding and poignant reminder of what Christ did for us.
The most special part of the trip was to meet a group of WWII and Korean War veterans that had traveled from Michigan.  What an honor and blessing it was to have the opportunity to  shake each man's and woman's hand and thank them for the freedom that I do not deserve but enjoy.  There was a lot of reflection by the students that day.  It was a trip that the class and I will never forget.
My heartfelt, but insignificant, thanks to all those who served, lost loved ones, and continue to serve for the freedom to live a life that is free.  Thank you all for paying the price for that freedom for me...
