Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

Urgent Prayer Needed...

Could you all please lift my sister up in prayer? Satan is just attacking her from all angles in her personal life. She is having surgery at the end of the month, and the doctor has concerns. On top of her other worries, her beloved dog, Graham, had two lumps biopsied. The results aren't in yet, and the doctor said it could go either way-50/50 as to whether or not it is cancer. And then, if it is, he would only have a few months to live. There are other areas that are in turmoil also. My sister is the strong one in the family, the one to keep me going. I have never heard her cry with such despair as I did last night. As most of you know, she lives far away.

I trust in a God who hears our prayers, cares about a sparrow, will not give us more than we can handle, and who heals the sick.

James 5:13-16
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Thank you all for your friendship and prayers on behalf of my sister!

Love,
Heather
This is her dog, Graham. He is tired after his biopsy.

  6. First of all, THANK YOU, dear friends, for your prayers for my sister. I can't tell you how much it means to my family.

Another blogging friend who can use our prayers is Shirlee, The Easily Influenced Stitcher (http://farmhouseponderings.blogspot.com/). She is really having a rough time.
