Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

Longwood Gardens

Hello, Friends!

I planned a field trip to Longwood Gardens for my birthday (Like how I finagled that one?).  It was lovely Spring inside, but this was the first year doing this field trip where it rained.  Poured. So, we could not enjoy the outside.  But still beautiful!  If you are ever in PA, I would definitely recommend this as a place to visit.  I have an allergy cold, so it is back to bed for me (The pictures even made me sneeze!).  The weather is beautiful here in PA today, but we can always use another gander at God's beautiful handiwork!  Enjoy!

Love,
Heather

Matthew 6:27-29

"And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

I am thinking of using this color scheme on the deck this year!

  1. When I taught upper elementary, we would visit the Botanical Gardens every year. It was one of my favorite trips to make. I remember one year it had been a very rainy spring and the river was up and some of those "famous" kids managed to find themselves knee deep in mud. That was the last year I took a trip there with a class.

  9. Hope you have a wonderful birthday! I love all the flower pictures and the verse in Matthew. It's so appropriate for me as I tend to be a worrier.
