Hi, How'dy, How are ya?

Welcome to "The Country Schoolmarm"! Get yourself a cup of coffee (I take mine strong with vanilla creamer), grab a seat, and chat a while! Isn't that what country friends do? Now, all we need is a porch...

Oh, how wonderful, oh, how marvelous!

By Charles Gabriel

I stand amazed in the presence

Of Jesus the Nazarene,

And wonder how He could love me,

A sinner, condemned, unclean.

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!

And my song shall ever be:

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!

Is my Savior’s love for me!

This song keeps playing in my head. Ever have a hymn or song like that? No reason. Haven't heard it recently. Just happened to come up. Just like verses. Words of wisdom, comfort, reminding, and reproof that are the inaudible words of a God given through tangible means.

Autumn speaks of His glory. He didn't have to make trees or their glorious color change in the fall. It doesn't make him more or less God. It doesn't add to His power. He doesn't need its breathtaking glory to make Him glorious! But, it does help this aspect of His nature to be impressed upon us. I pray that I don't lose sight of it, even though when, in my pitiful understanding,  I see a hurting world around me. God's glory is not changed. His wisdom is everlasting. He is marvelous. And, He loves you and me...

Love,
Heather
